PJQv1.2

7 stance categories

Rubric: 7 Stance Categories

The PJQ classifier operates on a fixed rubric of 7 categories. The model determines the underlying meaning of the comment (including sarcasm) in the context of the video's topic.

Below are the official definitions for the classification codes.

SUP (Support)

Agreement with the video's thesis or worldview. This includes agreeing with a specific claim, expanding on the narrative, or defending the video/speaker from criticism. Praise of delivery or clarity without agreeing with the thesis is NOT support.

AGA (Against)

Disagreement, fact-checking, debunking, attacking the author's competence, or presenting a counter-narrative. Sarcasm aimed at the thesis also falls here, as well as criticism that the content is degrading.

NEU (Neutral)

Engaged but undecided. Sincere questions on the topic, cautious assessments ("time will tell"), or balanced views without an explicit pro/con verdict.

OFF (Off-topic)

Comments about the artifact or meta, not the content. Timestamps, production quality praise/complaints (editing, sound), and non-sequiturs.

THIN (Thin)

Meaningless positivity. Praise without a named idea, emoji reactions, and emotional responses without substantive content.

SUS (Suspicious / Spam and Scam)

Inorganic content: explicit spam, bots, or engagement bait. Includes crypto-bait, recovery scams, template testimonials, and contact solicitation.

AGN (Agency / Self-Promotion)

Comments pushing a specific external target: cryptocurrency, an investment scheme, the author's own channel/product, a ring campaign, or account farming.

Boundary Rules (3 Ratified)

To ensure consistent classification, PJQ strictly enforces three boundary rules:

1. THIN vs OFF: Artifacts (technical production) go to OFF. Praise of the content/guest without a specific idea goes to THIN. However, criticizing that the content is degrading is a critical stance and goes to AGA.

2. Ring vs AGA: A ring of accounts pushing a *genuine* counter-narrative on the topic (real debunking, even if copy-pasted) is classified as AGA with coordinated and ring_id flags, NOT AGN. Classifying it as AGN would mask the real disagreement signal.

3. SUP vs NEU: SUP is assigned ONLY for agreement with the video's thesis or agenda. A substantive technical breakdown, comparison, or correction without explicit agreement is NEU. Engagement does not equal support.

Reporting Logic

The Mood index is calculated exclusively from the substantive opinion pool (SUP, AGA, NEU).

THIN, OFF, SUS, and AGN are treated as raw counters only. Including meaningless positivity (THIN) in formulas would artificially inflate the support score.
